The Vermentino: king of the table in Gallura
Gallura is synonymous with gastronomy, products linked with the territory and the Vermentino is the most cultivated white grape in the island and it finds one of its ideal territories in the north east of the island.
The most important cellars are here, places where architecture and nature blend perfectly.
This is the case for the Cantina Surrau of Arzachena, 50 hectares of land mostly covered by vineyards, an open space on the Gallura landscape, which can be visited entirely in one route discovering the story of the cellar, in the areas dedicated to the making and refining of the wine.
Or even the Cantina Capichera, the worldwide symbol of the Italian Vermentino, or the Cantina Monti, a small commune situated between lower Gallura and Logudoro, in the immediate inland areas of the Costa Smeralda.
