Luogosanto is a small village in lower Gallura, near Paradise Coast, and has two saints and a Madonna of it's own as well as a handful of churches, each dedicated to a particular saint, which are scattered throughout the countryside. It was perhaps for this reason that the first settlers name it, without a shadow of doubt, Locus Santus, or Sacred Place. Among it's many monuments are Baldi Palace, Balayana Castle, San Leonardo Church, San Trano Church, the Basilica and Porto Santa, and finally La Filetta, the most antique and renowned diuretic fountain in the Gallura.
